element communications. A different perspective

element relocated to the Heath in 2007.

Built in the early ‘60s as offices for chemical giant ICI, The Heath is typical of constructions of this era, and it is easy to deride the buildings as lacking aesthetic appeal.

But, if you take a different view of the things you take for granted you begin to see the subtle beauty and appreciate the essence of the 'functionality over form' design principle. The changing light falling throughout the day can alter our perception of familiar places, revealing unsuspected depth, pattern and structure.

These images capture the unusual in the commonplace. They show the things we think we know from a fresh perspective.

And that is what element is all about.
